What type of business do you own or work for?

Primarily my business has been residential resale in the Newtown Square/Broomall area. I've worked primarily with sellers listing and selling their homes. I've also provided service to buyers looking to purchase a new home. Not recently, but in 2004 and 2005 the "flipper" market was very hot. I would find "tear downs" for investors who would rehab the property and sell it for a very lucrative profit. Those days are history.

How long have you been a member of the NSB&PA?

15 Years. My husband is a local plumbing contractor and when we moved to Newtown Square in 1993 one of the first things I did was join the business association. In the mid 90's I was asked to be on the Board and served for a few years before acquiring a full time job outside of Newtown Square which forced me to resign. In 2004 I was asked to serve again. I was working in Newtown Square, so I happily agreed.

What are the key strengths of your business/service?

I have a strong background in marketing. The key to success in real estate is to market yourself, market your listings. I develop a business plan in the fall and have it in place and producing by the spring real estate market. You can't be a "secret agent" in real estate, you've got to be at the forefront of the market.
