For 2017, Executive Board Members are focused on bringing attention to the shops and services offered in Newtown Square.  To that end, we are developing:

  • 2017 reprinting Map / Brochure identifying all member merchants & professionals in Newtown Square. Out by mid May
  • Banners "Shop Newtown Square" . Consider doubling amount displayed using complimentary colors.                                                                                                                                                                        
  • Facebook page for “Shop Newtown Square” needs content.  Please send in your Flyer contributions to post to President@NSBPA.com.
  • Updating illuminated Snowflakes for Christmas Display
And we continue to offer:
  • NSBA Decal for member merchants to display.
  • For member merchants & professionals who wish to have junipers adorn your front entrance, we can lead you to special member discount pricing offered by Mostardis, to Business Association members to purchase the containers, Business Association will provide the plant material complimentary and Earl Ebling Landscaping will install also complimentary.

About Us

History

The Newtown Square Business & Professional Association (Now officially renamed as Newtown Square Business Association (NSBA), was formed in May of 1976 by a group of local business people who recognized the need for coordinated action on behalf of the business community. The organization is governed by the Constitution and By-Laws created in 1976, and officers are elected annually from the membership at large. NSBA has filed articles of Incorporation with the State of Pennsylvania, and has been granted non-profit status by the IRS.
 
Purpose
To act in the best interests of all members and to engage in such activities that would lead to the improvement and encouragement of doing business in Newtown Square.
 
 Dues
Membership dues, as established by membership vote, are currently $100.00 per year per business. One membership fee covers all employees of the member business. 

 Membership
Membership in the NSBA is open to any person or organization doing business within Newtown Township regardless of their office location. In addition to having a single voice to speak for all Newtown Square businesses, membership in the NSB&PA offers these other individual benefits:

  • Significant input with the township government on matters concerning the business community.
  • Improved public relations between the public and the business community.
  • Coordinated promotions to encourage residents to shop locally.
  • Sponsorship of community projects such as:
    • Providing Christmas lighting for the business district.
    • Erecting of "Welcome to Newtown Township" sign on West Chester Pike.
  • Monthly luncheons, breakfasts and business networking receptions enabling members to compare problems and solutions.
  • Monthly Newsletter to keep members abreast of items affecting their business.
  • Social functions for members and their guests.
